LADSE Mission Foundation
The LADSE Mission Foundation is a 501c3 organization formed with the purpose of fundraising for LADSE families in need as well as participating in charitable or community-based activities that build local connections. Fundraisers are organized by staff volunteers and provide LADSE families support to access summer camps, public transportation vouchers, clothing, and other basic family needs. LADSE social workers are instrumental in both identifying families in need as well as delivering resources to homes on a regular basis.
Fundraisers include partnerships with local restaurants, such as Chipotle or Buona Beef, to receive part of the proceeds on selected days, a SAVERS home goods donation drive, and our largest event, the Pollyanna’s Basket Raffle. The LADSE Mission Foundation also sponsors several opportunities throughout the year for community outreach, coordinating activities to engage with the local community. Projects include volunteering with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, the Ronald McDonal House (Loyola), float entry into the La Grange Pet Parade, coordinating races for the Leadershop La Grange Rocks 5K, 5K Walk/Run for Loyola Neonatal Unit, Special Needs Theater of Lyons Township, Hinsdale South High School D/HH Drama Club, and supporting our troops with care packages. We have donated 33 pounds of goods (food, personal hygiene items, etc.) to our troops overseas. We also sent over 25 LADSE student-written letters to the soldiers. |
