Behavioral Consultation
A proactive, consultative approach is the focus of our behavioral consultants. The aim is to intervene before problems escalate to the point where a more restrictive educational placement for the student is warranted. School teams receive assistance in developing behavior management plans and communication systems designed to maximize student strengths and reduce or eliminate problem behavior.

Did you know LADSE can...
- Provide behavioral consultation services free of cost to member districts
- Provide consultation for individual students and/or for whole classrooms
- Provide consultation regarding classroom management systems and school wide behavioral management systems
- Assist with building wide and district wide SEL programming
- Attend classroom team meetings and student support meetings to assist in the problem solving process
- Assist with the FBA/BIP process for individual students
- Provide staff training on a variety of topics including but not limited to:
- CHAMPs
- trauma
- behavioral interventions
- Crisis Prevention Institute
- Social Emotional Learning
- Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports
