The Deaf Drama club performs in two dramas each year. The cast is made up of students from the Deaf and Hard of Hearing department as well as interested hearing ASL students.
The students attend workshops and audition for their parts, and are chosen to act or provide behind-the-scenes support. The plays are performed in ASL, and voice interpreters are provided for the non-signing audience members.
The plays are performed in the fall and spring, and are opened to the public. Students from elementary and middle schools often attend daytime performances as a field trip.
The spring production will be presented on May 15, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. The performance will be at Hinsdale South High School, 7401 Clarendon Hills Rd., Darien. Voice interpreters will be provided.
