Prior experience: Primary Care RN at Children's Memorial/Luries , Respiratory/Pulmonary Unit, Asthma Care Unit, and Transitional Care Unit (Ventilator /Trach care & education for patients and families.) Education and Research Committees.
Prior Work/Education: BFA,MAAT, Art Therapist with children, adolescents & adults in variety of inpatient, outpatient and school settings.

Leslie Grady:
Mom to 2 teenage boys, wife of our church’s youth leader, elementary teacher for 17 years, cat owner, nurse at long term acute care hospital, and now…full-time substitute for all nurses (and sometimes paras and teachers) in LADSE. I love working with LADSE because I can be relief for our workers when needed, and I spend time with our students to help them become the best they can be.

Arthenia Everette: I graduated in 1974 from Chicago City Colleges with license in Practical nursing.
I have worked at Children's Memorial Hospital in Pediatric Neurology and Michael Reese
Hospital in a Medical/Surgical unit. I also worked at Pediatric Services of America in Elmhurst
doing Pediatric home care. I began working with Ladse in 1995. I am currently working at
Edison School in Stickney Illinois.
Ruby Jarrett: I have been a full time nurse with LADSE Multineeds’ program since 2012. When able, I have had the pleasure of acting as a sub-nurse and/or paraprofessional throughout LASDSE’s programs.
I enjoy integrating nursing care within the school and community environments. It is a fulfilling position to be a part of collaborating with students, parents and multidisciplinary cohorts to achieve health, educational, and life skills goals and growth for individuals.
I am a proud mother of 2, an adult daughter and a teenage son.

Joyce Georgi: I received my BSN in Nursing, as well as my PEL – CSN (School Nurse Certification), from the University of Illinois – Chicago. The breadth of opportunities through nursing has allowed me to gain experience through the years in various specialties, including cardiology, gastroenterology, weight management, patient phone triage and school nursing (ages 3-19 years). Previously, I was employed in the Chicago Public School system as a Speech Therapist, following a degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Illinois – Champaign-Urbana. Volunteering in our community and for the FARE (Food Allergy Research and Education) organization, are two things dear to my heart. Currently, I am training to become a CPR instructor as well as proficient in ASL (American Sign Language). I have truly enjoyed living in this community with my husband and two energetic boys. Outside of work, I love traveling to exciting new places, visiting unique art galleries, baking for family and friends, enjoying summer nights around the firepit with my family/neighbors and binge watching HGTV!
Barbara Hoare: LPN comes to us from Wheaton and is serving as a 1:1 nurse to a first grade student at Forest Road school. Barb is reentering the workplace after 30 years spent raising a family. She loves tennis, kids and ice cream.

Carol Karpf: I’m a Registered Nurse with an Associate’s degree in Nursing. I have worked in Rehab, at
Marianjoy and the Rehab Institute of Chicago. I have worked on a Medical Surgical Unit in a
hospital as well as Pediatrics, Labor and delivery, psych, and Hospice. I have worked with
LADSE since 2017.
