LADSE services 17 school districts and over 4400 students with disabilities. Over 1500 students are considered "transition aged youth" which youth ages 14 1/2 through 22 years. The Vocational Alliance is a network of school vocational programs, students and their families, state and local workforce development systems, employers and businesses, rehabilitation and other supportive service agencies with the goal of individual skill development in work and work related areas.

The Vocational Alliance believes in the strength of partnerships and supporting the building of student skills that maximize independence and reach their optimum level of engagement in work, learning, recreation, and community as they move toward life as an adult. the Vocational Alliance Staff work with district staff and employers and businesses on building opportunities for career awareness, career exploration and career development for students. We do this through community based work and work related experiences.

 

How We Assist Employers and Businesses

We work with employers and businesses in a variety of different ways, based on your individual need.

Our Employer/Business services are supported through your school tax dollars, so there is no cost to you. We are qualified to work with you across the following topics.

The staff at the Vocational Alliance are available to present at your staff meetings, brown bag lunches, professional development days and your community organizations.
